Olympic Roundup

In honor of our podcast coming out tomorrow, here are a few links to good reads about the olympics:

Skis are more than 4,000 years old.  And according to this piece they have changed a lot.

Tara and John will talk a bit about doping and the history of purity in the Olympics.  This article asks what “natural athleticism” really is.

We also talk about the tensions between competing for individual versus national glory.  But, there was almost an Olympics with no anthems at all.  How does that challenge our understanding of the Olympics?
